Language of Landscape comprise of Cory Zaradur and Chris Tenz. Based in Calgary, Canada they create musical soundscapes that evoke thoughts of lazy winter days. The music is drenched in beauty and punctuated by gorgeous piano motifs.
Landscape released an improvised minimal piece on a 3" cdr. These tracks were limited to 5 copies each. Though all hard copies are now sold out, the entire series, "memories fade under a shallow autumn snow", is now available for free download on Phantom Channel.
This live recording is their most recent, and indeed final, work as a duo.
THE PRESS SAY:
"The last three minutes are very nearly perfect: a lovely meeting of structured and impressionistic sound, a bittersweet farewell, a closing theme for some private movie that’s only ever played in your head (and so it’s almost shocking to find that Zaradur and Tenz have scored it so well)... the aforementioned swansong." Opus.fm
"The Immensity of Unstained Light is poignant without being sappy, emotionally expansive without seeming forced. In short, this is a thoroughly satisfying piece of music that engages listeners on many levels while maintaining a sense of movement and attention to detail rarely encountered in improvised music." Petal Music
"...filled with emotion and beauty, drones washed in reverb and minimalist piano. It’s music you can really contemplate/relax to. Just a wonderful listen start to finish" Valiska
